THE STRAIGHT AND NARROW PATH TO RIGHTEOUSNESS

Father, as many have awakened and have begun their morning journey, they smile because you continue to work all things out for their good.

Despite their daily shortcomings, you allow them to push through their adversities and challenges with a smile on their faces.

They understand that they will indeed experience trials and tribulations; however, with you, through your Son, Jesus Christ, they are protected, covered, and destined for victory in all aspects of life.

Father, help all to take time to pray and study your holy word.  Help them to confess, accept, and walk the straight and narrow path to righteousness.

“Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:13-14

THANKFULNESS THROUGH IT ALL

Father, praise your holy name for this blessed morning in Christ. I’m grateful for your agape love.

Father, as many have awakened and have begun their morning journey, they pause to sing praises to your holy name. They know that all things are possible with you. Therefore, they walk in faith with their minds stayed upon you through Christ.

Instead of complaining about their mishaps from yesterday, they thank you for the experience, which further directs their path to righteousness.

Father, help all to understand that it is because of you that their burdens have not overtaken them. They thank you profusely for keeping them through it all and making them whole.

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

NEVER PUT OFF FOR TOMORROW

Father, praise your holy name for this blessed morning.  I’m grateful for your light through the darkness.

Father, as many have awakened and have begun their morning journey, they pause to praise you for another day that was not promised.  They know that it is only by your grace that they are present in the body.   They understand that they are given many second chances throughout life.  Therefore, instead of taking such for granted, they pause to pray for your continued discernment, guidance, direction, and protection.

Father, help all to take time out of their day to truly connect with you through your Son Jesus Christ.  Help them to understand that life is not promised, so never put off for tomorrow what can be resolved or accomplished today.

“Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.” James 4:13-14

GOD’S HAS ALL CONTROL

Father, give you all praise for this blessed morning in Christ.  I’m grateful for your unconditional love, protection, guidance, restoration, and peace.

Father, as many have awakened and have begun their day, they smile because you have granted them another opportunity to get it right.  They smile because they are able to examine themselves and determine where they have fallen short and repent of their sins.  They smile because, despite their shortcomings, you continue to forgive and redirect their path as well as their mindset.

Father, help all to understand that they always have a reason to smile, despite their pain, darkness, and/or difficulties in life.  Help them to understand that with you, they have eternal life.

Father, help all to also realize that they can always depend upon you through their difficulties, because you control all things, situations, and people.

“In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the  promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.”
Ephesians 1:11-14
